Eastern Dragons
Physical Appearance:
- head like a camel, ears like a cow, neck like snake, claws like an eagle, and paws like a tiger
- voices sound like jingling coins
- instead of wings, the dragon has a poh shan, a growth on top of its head that pumps air in and out, helping the creature to fly
Size:
- small as silkworms and as large as a mountain - supersize oriental dragons were kilometers long. They were the biggest, grandest creatures in the world
Habitat:
- many are year-round sea dwellers
- every pond, lake, river and stream has a dragon
- could also live inside mountains and under the ground
Diet:
- bamboo, milk, cream, swallows and arsenic
- arsenic makes dragons fat
Treasures:
- jewels and precious stones
- prefer jade, coral and pearls
- use their jewels to build undersea palaces of coral and pearls
- generous, give gifts of gems to people lucky enough to meet them.
Enemies:
- the centipede

Western Dragons
Physical Appearance:
- wings, two or four feet,
- bulging eyes, bat-like wings
- body covered in scales
- long pointed tail with spikes
- sharp, curved claws
- poison fangs, smelly breath
- yellow, black, silver, gray,
green or multicolored
Size:
- most were 5 - 7 m. long
- some were super size
- smallest were 3 - 60 cm.

Habitat:
- caves above and below the ground
- smallest ones lived in trees, tunnels, wells and cellars
- some lived in marshes
- silver dragons lived in rivers
Diet:
- milk, maidens, cakes, birds, oxen, deer and milk
- milk made them sleepy
- lettuce helped their stomach aches
Treasures:
- miserable misers
- collected gold and gems
- slept with their eyes open to guard their treasures
Enemies:
- eagles and panthers
- people
- dragon slayers (knights)
